Fifty pounds of ice plus drinks and food can push any of these coolers well past a comfortable one-person lift. Measure the cargo opening and decide who will lift it before choosing by can count.
Ice claims are conditional
Pre-chilling, ice ratio, outdoor temperature, shade, opening frequency, and the temperature of the food all change retention. Treat manufacturer day claims as controlled guidance, not a guarantee for every trip.
Use a thermometer for food
A cooler is not automatically maintaining refrigerator temperature. Keep raw foods separated, minimize lid openings, drain or retain meltwater according to the food plan, and verify safe temperature with a thermometer.
